A dream or a wish unfulfilled…

Who wouldn’t like to live their dream in their alternate universe? Let us all keep a hand on our heart and agree that we dream of that alternate life be it in this or any other universe. Because, why not?

I will start with me. And then you can share yours as well. It is nice to know the different possible lives and we can all live that for a bit.

I have always wanted to be a writer. Even when I was studying sciences, battling mathematics and became a corporate junkie – writing had always been at the back of my mind. And in my version of life in an alternate universe, I write, visit musty old bookshops, write more, have tea and desserts as a meal plan and take care of myself.

I keep thinking to myself though – in all its wistful thinking and glory, hustle is part of any story. Even if I had those things, would I have made it through myself? Would I have stayed hungry, living paycheck to paycheck – I keep wondering.

I love the life I have envisioned for myself and I am hoping to build that for sure. But what I keep wondering – in any life or any universe would I have done things differently given different opportunities?

Am I unhappy in the current one? No.

But do I wish I had the choice of an alternative? Yes.

Often, we ask ourselves that we wish we could do things given the opportunity. We mostly forget to build and work for it. And most of the success stories have one thing in common – the hard work, the perseverance, and the creativity to bend opportunity in our favor. Most of the stores are not told in their full glory but once something is built, everyone does get a wistful thinking. And yes, no one can blame their current universe.

Coming back, I am on the way to build my dream life of the alternate universe. I want to swap with that version of me in this one. And I am hoping that I am taking sufficient inspiration and motivation to continue doing. And hey, if there are two versions of me living the same life – what’s the harm in it?

You tell me – share your story. Are you planning to start, halfway there or still thinking?
