As most of you have gone through my previous posts know, I love a good read. And mostly all books are good reads. There is something about getting lost in those pages and never coming back (read: never looking up) to this world. We are happy there. We are safe there. So, thank you very much – you keep this dimension!
Am I wrong to even assume that anything else can relax me?
Yes. Sometimes, gardening and playing around in the mud and manure does help reset the exhaust button. I believe they are part of your grounding practices – helps you keep closer to creation and think about you as a person.
One thing probably not a lot do, but should try is staring at a starry night. You will probably notice the same sky that it was when you were a kid, when you were a teenager or an enthusiastic youth. The stars and the planets have always been there; watching you grow, spinning around with you as you move forward in time and even as you have changed, there is a strong possibility they never changed. And probably never will.
When I feel overwhelmed or feel things are spiraling out of hand, I look at the night sky. I feel comfortable and relaxed knowing that not everything has to change or has changed and has that semblance to normalcy.
But a cup of good coffee or tea brings back the whole train of thoughts. What not to like when there is a hot beverage to take care of you.
Relaxing is more a broader subject than one cares to venture. Some people enjoy relaxing in travelling, going to someplace new from routine, or going to a new cafe or restaurant.
I find joy in cooking at times when I want to try something new – not the routine food that I anyway make.
But enough about me – Tell me what do you like. I am just jotting some options. Choose that resonates with you. If not, drop in a line.
Thank you for your response. ✨
