While walking on the streets, you get to see a lot of things and there are a lot of shops and carts with various merchandise that catches your eye – it is the unplanned and inconspicuous that catches my attention. There are many such random things on the street for you to look at and forget.
But then there are those ones – when you look at them, it aches you.
Do you recognize those random plants that grow between you blocks of pavement stones? Have you ever noticed those? Even in cemented roads, a crack is more than enough for a beautiful life to raise its head up.
Some of these tiny lives, if you observe carefully, even have flowers growing on them, a worm curling comfortably at its foot or a bee humming around it. Soon, it becomes an ecosystem. Birds chirp around, bees buzz around and a small sprout becomes a small bush with pretty flowers on it.
These flowers have some of the unique colors you probably do not see
We ignore these – most of the times.
We are in a hurry and we are busy gaping at stores with vibrant merchandise. But, when I started observing these miracle lives, it would pull me into another dimension.
My childhood where we used to have such things in comic books and cartoons.
Our generation – Millennials – have been lucky on so many levels we cannot be thankful enough. And one part of our growing up years was the fact that we were on the streets until the orange neon lights lit up the twilight sky.
Also was the quality of entertainment that we would get.
If afternoons were too sunny and warm, we could curl up in our homes with our books and though we loved watching television in our limited resources, we had good books to keep us company.

That is what would ache me.
A time in time that was so pure and divine. And these things keep popping up and catches my eye.
Those things that are now being easily ignored or taken for granted, is actually a part of our existence.
We grew up and went ahead. The child in us noticed everything. The adult in us is rushing through life.
Pause and breathe, breathe and see…
